2022-05-13

Below you will find a collection of sites and resources that I have found helpful a long my journey.

Clubs

There are lots of clubs, these are the ones I am a member of or engaging with.

Elizabeth Amateur Radio Club

Amateur Radio Experiments Group

Organisations

Wireless Institute of Australia

The defacto association to be a member of if you are into Amateur radio in Australia.

Places to Register

QRZ Forum - The site for confirming low powered transmissions

This site was recommended as the defacto for confirming call signs and almost stated as, if you don’t have an account registered here, you may get ignored as you maybe a pirate.

Training Material

NZART - New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters Inc.

This site was recommended to me during my first contact on a local repeater. It has a wealth of information and most of the information is directly relative to australia except the regulations may be slightly different.

Software

4nec2 NEC based antenna modeler and optimizer

This software was recommended to be able to design and plan antennas.

Everything Else

Other useful websites that just don’t need a whole category.

Repeater Book - All the frequencies and offsets for each repeater globally
